Prototypes - SLS/Polyjet/SLA
etc.:
Idé-Pro Skive A/S supplies FDM, SLS, SLA
and a variety of other
prototype technologies in various materials.
Sample from our production:
3D CAD model, - via SLS, - to injection-moulded parts.
SLS:
SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) is a rapid manufacturing technique that
uses a high power laser to fuse small particles (Nylon-PA) into a mass
representing a desired 3-dimentional object.
SLS offers the key advantage of making functional parts in essentially final
materials and it is suitable for test purposes, but it does not have exactly
the same characteristics as injection-moulded parts.
Since the objects are sintered they are porous. If a more rigidly part
is required a glass-filled nylon can be used.
Polyjet:
Polyjet creates prototypes with an ink-jet process. Instead of ink,
however, the print head deposits photopolymer that is immediately cured with
a UV lamp.
Polyjet is not as strong as SLS, but it has a more smooth
surface than SLS.
Polyjet is often a less expensive alternative to SLA.
SLA:
SLA (Stereolithography) enables the
creation of complex, three-dimensional models by successively laser-curing
cross sections of a liquid resin. A laser contacts the resin, which is a
photopolymer, causing the material to solidify.
SLA is not as strong as SLS, but it is more accurate and has a more smooth
surface than SLS. SLA reminds, to some extend, of Polyjet.
We can also offer a SLA type in a fine grade version being suitable for
small accurate and detailed models.
Lead time for SLS, Polyjet og SLA models is normally approximately 1 week.
FDM, PUR-cast and milled
prototypes:
We can also offer various prototype
technologies such as FDM, PUR-casts, milled prototypes, etc.
